Daily Routine
In the Nursery, the routine of the day is not a strict timetable but provides a flexible framework for structure and familiarity. It will change throughout the week and across the year to adapt to the changing needs of the children and to take into account seasonal and school events.
The children have the opportunity throughout the session for ‘free flow’, to explore outdoor provision and the indoor areas, each of which is set up to offer different learning experiences. Throughout the week there will also be opportunities to visit other areas of the school for learning activities.
Throughout the session there is a balance of adults being involved in child's play and children playing with and alongside others. Activities are adapted to the children's needs and interests and they get lots of opportunities to talk about their play and learning and to explore new concepts.
